As a photographer with extensive experience capturing weddings at Hedingham Castle, I knew this historic venue would provide a stunning backdrop for their love story. The day unfolded with a delightful blend of emotions, starting with the bustling energy of bridal prep in the Garden Cottage and the quiet anticipation during groom prep in the Medieval Lodge.
The ceremony itself was an unforgettable experience. The ancient Norman Keep served as a powerful and romantic setting for their vows, and the surprise arrival of a barn owl delivering the rings added a touch of whimsy that perfectly reflected the couple’s personalities.
One of the unique challenges of Hedingham Castle weddings is the ceremony room’s low-light conditions. My experience and professional camera equipment allowed me to capture every detail of this special moment, ensuring the couple had beautiful photos to cherish.
The celebrations continued with a vibrant group photo in the castle grounds, a joyful confetti tunnel on the bridge, and a lively drinks reception bathed in the warm glow of the afternoon sun. As the golden hour approached, I captured intimate and romantic portraits of Louise and Leo, their love for each other radiating in every frame.
The wedding breakfast and speeches filled the marquee with laughter and heartfelt words, creating a sense of warmth and togetherness. The evening concluded with a romantic portrait session by the picturesque formal pond, followed by a joyous first dance and energetic party that perfectly capped off a spectacular day.

Tell me about your The Beginning!
Our Parents live on the same street opposite each other, took a while for us to speak but when we did we got on well and went from there. Our first date was in London whilst i was in the city playing a poker tournament. Louise made a last minute decision to come down and meet me and we had a night out in London. this was followed shortly after by our second/third date in Monte Carlo…our dates are no longer as extravagant!
When and where did you get engaged?
February 2019 in the Grand Canyon, Arizona. Helicopter tour whilst in Las Vegas on Holiday with our best friends Richard (Best Man) & Louise (Bridesmaid) landed in the Grand Canyon where i picked a spot and proposed.

What were you most looking forward to on the day?
First time seeing each other in the ceremony & the ceremony being over! Seeing everyone relaxed and enjoying themselves as one big family
