The Old Vicarage New Forest Wedding Photography
Francesca and Ben’s wedding at The Old Vicarage in the New Forest in Hampshire was one of those days where there was always something happening. From the moment I arrived, it had a really easy, friendly feel to it. The kind of day where people settle in quickly, everyone’s chatting, and it just flows.
The weather tried to throw a bit of a curveball early on, with rain coming in just as the outdoor ceremony was planned. But honestly, it didn’t make a difference. Everything just shifted indoors, and the ceremony ended up feeling even more intimate because of it.

Morning Preparations
Francesca got ready at a nearby Airbnb with her bridesmaids, and it was a great start to the day. Music on, people moving between rooms, a bit of everything going on at once. There were moments of calm in between it all, but mostly it was just a really nice atmosphere to be around.
By the time everyone made their way over to The Old Vicarage, it already felt like the day was in full swing. Guests were arriving, catching up, and everything started to build naturally without any pressure.
The Ceremony At The Old Vicarage
Almost as soon as the ceremony finished, the weather cleared. Perfect timing. Everyone headed straight out onto the lawns, and that’s when things really got going.
The confetti tunnel was a big one. Long, loud, and full of energy. Exactly what you want. Francesca and Ben just went straight through it, laughing the whole way.
From there, the afternoon relaxed into itself. Drinks in hand, people spread out across the lawn, lawn games going on, and then the pigs making an appearance, which definitely got everyone’s attention. It all felt really easy. Nothing forced, nothing rushed.
Group photos slotted into this part of the day without interrupting anything, which is always the goal.
Confetti, Pigs And The Afternoon
There was a short break in the weather after the ceremony, which gave us the chance to head outside. Guests gathered quickly for confetti, making the most of the moment while it lasted. It was one of those windows you don’t overthink. You just go with it.
Group photos followed soon after, kept relaxed and straightforward. With the grounds still fresh from the rain, we worked efficiently, keeping people comfortable while still capturing everything needed.
Couple Portraits in the grounds
Later on, the sun finally came out, and we took the chance to step away for a few minutes.
The light had softened just enough, and the grounds around The Old Vicarage gave us everything we needed without having to go far. Francesca and Ben were great together. No overthinking it, just walking, chatting, and being themselves.
It didn’t take long, and that’s always how I like to keep it. Enough time to get something meaningful without pulling them away from the day.
Speeches And A Proper Party
The speeches were brilliant. Really good balance of humour and a few more heartfelt moments, and the room was properly engaged the whole time. You could tell how close everyone was, which always comes through.
Then the evening kicked off, and it didn’t take long for the dance floor to fill. This wasn’t one of those slow starts. People were straight into it, and it stayed that way all night.
Later on, everyone headed back outside for sparklers, which gave the day a really nice ending before heading back in for the final stretch of the party.
Final Thoughts
Francesca and Ben’s wedding at The Old Vicarage in the New Forest just worked. Even with the weather changing plans early on, everything felt easy and natural from start to finish.
Good people, a great setting, and a day that didn’t try too hard to be anything other than what it was.
