Danica and Joel wedding at Stanton Manor Hotel

One of the best things about being a Cotswold wedding photographer is getting to regularly shoot wedding photography at Stanton Manor Hotel.  Danica and Joel chose the perfect location for their summer wedding.

Stanton Manor is rich in history and was listed in the Domesday Book.  It was rebuilt in 1840 and retains the original fireplace in the galleried hall.  Beautifully and sympathetically restored, today the hotel offers the perfect mix of a historical yet homely ambience.

On the day, I got there early so I could catch up with Danica and her bridal party who were getting ready in Stanton Manor’s bridal suite.  Danica was in high spirits and safe hands with her mum and her five bridesmaids, along with hair stylist and makeup artist Ariana Rose.

I also had the chance to catch up with Joel who was getting ready in another room in Stanton Manor.  He was with his groom’s party and I got some great candid images of them getting ready as well.

Danica looked amazing in dress that had a full ballgown skirt giving her a real fairytale bride look and Joel looked very smart in a three-piece tails suit of grey with a white waistcoat.

The wedding ceremony was held in Stanton Manor’s beautiful gardens to musical accompaniment from a string quartet.  One of the many things I love about shooting wedding photography at Stanton Manor is the beautiful gardens that make a gorgeous backdrop in all of my images.  Danica and Joel’s wedding ceremony was held under a pretty pagoda in the cherry orchard, with all of their guests seated beside them.

After the ceremony everybody enjoyed a drinks reception in the gardens and I got the chance to take some great group images of the wedding party.

Whilst Danica and Joel’s guests happily chatted and mingled, I quickly whisked them away for a mini photoshoot around the gardens and grounds of Stanton Manor.  It was my favourite part of the day and produced some gorgeous images that I know Danica and Joel are thrilled with.  Here, take a look!

Another reason why I love capturing wedding photography at Stanton Manor is that the staff there are always helpful and friendly, even to Cotswold wedding photographers.

Storytelling wedding photography at Stanton Manor Hotel

The wedding reception was held in a luxury marquee that had been dressed beautifully.  I loved the four-tiered wedding cake alternating white and blue and the macarons and doughnuts looked colourful and fun.  Wedding food was in form of a delicious Filipino buffet.

Due to COVID restrictions, the first dance happened outside on the lawn.  Making it alfresco made it all the more romantic, especially as it was followed by sparklers and a smoke bomb which produced some great images.  Here take a look!

After the sun had set, I wanted to take one last image of Danica and Joel under the pagoda where they’d taken their marriage vows.  It was my favourite image of the day, and the perfect image to close the story of their beautiful wedding day.

Congratulations to Danica and Joel for getting married.  And thank you for allowing me to tell the story of it.  I hope the images will enable you to relive your day again and again for many years to come.
