Hampton Court Palace Proposal Shoot

Ashik and Sajni proposal shoot at Hampton Court Palace

I love proposal shoots, what could be more exciting than being trusted to capture the moment when two people in love decide to spend the rest of their lives together?

Ashik got in touch with me because he wanted to propose to Sajni somewhere unique and romantic, and he’d seen one of my blogs and loved the photos I’d taken of a previous Hampton Court Palace proposal shoot.  Hampton Court Palace’s world-famous gardens include 60 acres of spectacular formal gardens and 750 acres of parkland, all set within a loop of the River Thames.  Home to the world’s oldest puzzle maze, a record-breaking grape vinethree national plant collections as well as a huge variety of wildlife, including the descendants of Henry VIII’s deer herd

Proposal photography at Hampton Court Palace

It really is one of my favourite locations for a London proposal shoot as it’s a truly unique and iconic setting with the palace making a spectacular backdrop in my images.  Ashik chose a sunny morning in June for the proposal which was perfect as Spring and Summer are when the gardens are at their most beautiful.  The sun shone which we took to be a good sign!

Ashik planted little clues around the maze such as images of Ashik and Sajni placed in the hedges.  It created a little extra fun that relaxed them and allowed me to capture even more authentic images of them enjoying one another’s company.

I loved the images we got under the pretty laburnum arch and the one of Ashik lifting Sajni under it was really romantic and my favourite image of the day.  Here, take a look!

Many of my couples go on to use the images from their proposal photoshoot in their wedding stationery.

Experienced Hampton Court Palace engagement photographer

I really enjoyed capturing Ashik and Sajni’s proposal.  It was a really fun morning that resulted in images that I know they’re thrilled with.

If you’re currently planning your proposal and are wondering if you should have it photographed feel free to get in touch.  From personal experience,I know that arranging a proposal can feel a bit nerve-wracking and daunting. It’s a defining moment in your life and of course you want to make it perfect! I am here to guide you through every step of the way.  From when you first contact me, to the planning process and on the day.

You just talk me through the kind of proposal you had in mind and then I will advise you on the best way for it to be photographed.  Whether it’s a paparazzi shot when I discretely photograph the exact moment you propose.  Or an arranged photoshoot for you and your partner where you surprise them with the proposal.  Or a family photoshoot where the two of you surprise your loved ones with news of your engagement.

After the proposal.  I do the proposal photoshoot where I take beautiful portrait images of the two of you at or close to your proposal location.  I use a documentary style of photography for this, taking unobtrusive and unposed images where your personalities and the emotion of the moment really shine through.  This authentic style of documentary photography always gives me beautiful and natural results.  As you can see from these images of Ashik and Sajni.

Congratulations to you both!
