Stacey and Jules Wedding at Foxhills Country Club and Spa

I loved shooting Stacey and Jules’ wedding photography at Foxhills Country Club.  This pair chose the perfect venue for their late summer wedding.  Foxhills Country Club is an award-winning luxury country club and resort set in 400 acres in leafy Surrey.  It has beautiful gardens and grounds, two championship golf courses and state of the art gym and health spa facilities.  It really is a beautiful and luxurious haven.  But I’ll get back to all the reason why I love being a Foxhills Country Club wedding photographer later.  Let’s start at the beginning of Stacey and Jules’s day.

Bridal Prep

On the day I arrived early and got some lovely images of the grounds and gardens, I then caught up with Stacey who was getting ready in Foxhills gorgeous bridal suite.  Stacey was in good spirits with her bridal party on hand and in the safe hands of makeup artist Kelly from Elky May.

Stacey looked stunning in her dress.  It’s gentle low back and princess shape skirt gave her a gorgeous fairy-tale looked.  I got a fantastic image of her in the dress before leaving the bridal suite and as my words really don’t do it justice take a look!

Stacey looked so comfortable, she really suited being a bride.

Ceremony

I then went outside to capture all the guests as they were excitedly congregating on the lawn ready for the outdoor ceremony in the gazebo.  This is another reason why I love shooting wedding photography at Foxhills Country Club, their pretty gazebo, beautifully dressed chairs and idyllic gardens make their outdoor ceremonies a pleasure to capture.  Ask any Surrey wedding photographer and they will agree that outdoor ceremonies are always a joy to capture, the movement that comes from light breezes and the natural sunlight always bring something extra to our images.

I also got the chance to quickly catch up with Jules who was with his best man Ceasar, who had travelled all the way from Cyprus to attend the wedding.  Both men were looking very smart in their grey three-piece suits.

After a beautiful ceremony everybody enjoyed a drinks reception on the lawn and despite the cloudy weather, I got the chance to take some great images of the Stacey and Jules, their wedding party and their guests.  Whilst everybody happily sipped and mingled Stacey, Jules and I were whisked off in a golf cart so that we cold get some romantic portrait images around the idyllic gardens and grounds of Foxhills.

The Reception

The reception was held in the clubhouse which offers stunning views of the clubs two championship golf courses.  It has its own entrance, bar and dancefloor so was the perfect space for the celebrations to begin.  The toastmaster ensured that Stacey and Jules received a rapturous welcome and the fun began with some funny, heartfelt and well received speeches.

Now I must mention the cakes.  That’s right there was more than one.  The official wedding cake was a beautiful 3 tier fruit cake that looked amazing.  The second was a little Winnie the Pooh cake made just for Stacey as she is a massive fan of every bodies favourite honey-loving bear.

The Party

Now Stacey and Jules were leaving nothing to chance with their party.  There was a photobooth (who doesn’t love a photobooth) that had lots of dressing up props that were a real hit with the youngest guests, and after a few drinks, some of the older guests as well!

When it came to dancing, the clubhouses’ inbuilt dancefloor got a lot of use.  This lot were really up for a party and I loved the images I got on the dancefloor showing everybody young having a great time.  And if that wasn’t enough there were sparklers.  I love sparkler shots.

As the sun set, I quickly whisked Stacey and Jules outside to get a romantic sunset image of them. It was worth the effort.  It proved to be my favourite shot and was the perfect image to close the story of their beautiful wedding day.  Here take a look!

An elegant and fun family-friendly wedding at a super stylish and luxurious venue.  Congratulations to Stacey and Jules for getting married, and for creating a magical wedding day for yourselves, your family and your friends to remember.

‘From the moment Alex arrived we felt at ease to have photos, as someone who really doesn’t like photos it was super nice. He got all the key photos we asked for and captured so many more we didn’t expect!
