Morning preparations
Most mornings begin in one of the on site rooms or apartments. Having accommodation at the venue makes things calm from the start. I arrive early to photograph the details, the final touches, and the quiet build up with your closest people around you. The light in the rooms works well for natural prep photos without needing to stage anything.
If both of you are getting ready on site, it’s easy to move between spaces and capture both sides of the morning without disruption.
The Ceremony
Ceremonies at Elmers Court work well both indoors and outdoors. When the weather allows, the lawns or veranda create an open, coastal backdrop. Indoor ceremonies feel warm and intimate, especially in cooler months.
I photograph the ceremony quietly, focusing on real reactions and the moments between you and your guests. Because everything is close together, there is no rush once the ceremony finishes.

The Ballroom works well for the wedding breakfast and speeches. It has enough space for movement, reactions and atmosphere without feeling overwhelming. Speeches are one of my favourite parts of the day, and I focus on capturing both the speakers and the reactions around the room.

As the evening begins, the atmosphere shifts. The lights come down, the music starts and the day becomes more energetic. I stay close to the action, photographing the first dance, the dance floor and the moments in between.
