Elmers Court Wedding Photographer
Planning your wedding at Elmers Court in Hampshire and looking for a photographer who understands how the venue works on a real wedding day? I photograph relaxed, storytelling weddings across Hampshire and the South East, and Elmers Court is a venue that suits that approach beautifully.
Set on the edge of the New Forest with views across the Solent, Elmers Court offers something rare. You get the character of a historic manor, the space of a country estate, and coastal light that changes through the day. Because the ceremony spaces, grounds, and reception rooms all sit close together, the day flows naturally and gives you more time with your guests.
My role is to keep things simple. I help you plan portrait timing around the best light, keep group photos efficient, and capture the day as it unfolds without turning it into a photoshoot. If you want photography that feels calm, natural, and true to how the day actually felt, Elmers Court is a great fit.

A New Forest Wedding Venue with Coastal Views
Elmers Court is a nineteenth-century manor house set within private grounds just outside Lymington, on the southern edge of the New Forest. What makes it stand out is the setting. From the lawns and terrace, you have open views across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight, which brings a softer, coastal quality to the light that you do not get at many inland Hampshire venues.
The venue works well for weddings of different sizes. You have elegant indoor spaces for ceremonies and receptions, outdoor options when the weather allows, and the flexibility to move between them easily. Because the grounds, ceremony areas, and reception rooms are all close together, guests stay connected and the day feels unhurried.
From a photography point of view, this layout is ideal. You can capture a wide range of images without long walks or transport breaks. Manor house portraits, relaxed garden moments, coastal backdrops, and evening atmosphere all happen within the same setting, which helps tell a complete story of the day.
Searching for an Experienced Elmers Court Wedding Photographer?
Experience at Elmers Court makes a real difference. Iโve photographed weddings here in several different seasons of the year, which means I understand how the venue works across very different conditions.
The light, flow, and feel of the day change with the seasons. Summer weddings make the most of the lawns and terrace, while winter weddings rely more on the manor house interiors and Ballroom. Because Iโve worked here throughout the year, I know when to plan portraits, where group photos work best, and how to keep everything running smoothly without pulling you away from your guests.
That familiarity means less guesswork and a calmer approach on the day. You stay present, and I quietly capture the story as it unfolds.

You want your wedding to feel calm and unforced.
My photography is built around real moments and natural movement. I keep things flowing and avoid stiff poses or long photo sessions. Elmers Court suits this approach well. Iโve photographed weddings at Elmers Court in different seasons, including spring, summer and winter. I understand how the ceremony spaces, grounds and reception rooms connect, and how the light changes across the lawns and terrace through the day. That familiarity means fewer decisions on the day and a smoother experience for you.
You donโt want to miss out on the dayโฆ
Portrait time stays short and relaxed. We step away briefly, use the gardens or terrace while the light is right, then head straight back. You stay with your guests, enjoy the drinks and conversations, and I work quietly around you without interrupting the flow.
You want photos that feel true to your day
I focus on the moments that matter. The looks between you, the laughter during speeches, and the small interactions you donโt even realise are happening. You will barely notice me, but you will have a full set of images that feel honest and grounded in your Elmers Court wedding. I also help couples plan a simple, realistic flow to the day, which you can see in more detail in my Wedding Day Timeline Guide

Why Book Me for Your Burley Manor Wedding
Your wedding day should feel easy, well paced, and enjoyable. My role is to help make that happen while quietly capturing the story as it unfolds.
I offer full day wedding photography with no hourly limits. That gives you space to enjoy the day without watching the clock. I help with timings, group photo planning, and knowing when to step outside for portraits so nothing feels rushed or forced.
Because I know Elmers Court well, I can work efficiently. I understand how the rooms and grounds connect, where the light works best, and how to keep things moving without interrupting your guests. That experience allows me to guide only when needed and stay out of the way the rest of the time.
My approach is simple. Natural moments. Relaxed portraits. Photography that feels like you. I blend in during the quiet parts and step in briefly when structure helps the day run smoothly.
If youโre looking for an Elmers Court wedding photographer who keeps things calm, organised, and focused on real moments rather than poses, youโll feel comfortable with how I work.
Iโm proud to be recognised by respected international photography communities for storytelling, creativity and lighting.
Your Elmers Court Wedding Day, Step by Step
Morning preparations
Most mornings begin in one of the on site rooms or apartments. Having accommodation at the venue makes things calm from the start. I arrive early to photograph the details, the final touches, and the quiet build up with your closest people around you. The light in the rooms works well for natural prep photos without needing to stage anything.
If both of you are getting ready on site, itโs easy to move between spaces and capture both sides of the morning without disruption.
The Ceremony
Ceremonies at Elmers Court work well both indoors and outdoors. When the weather allows, the lawns or veranda create an open, coastal backdrop. Indoor ceremonies feel warm and intimate, especially in cooler months.
I photograph the ceremony quietly, focusing on real reactions and the moments between you and your guests. Because everything is close together, there is no rush once the ceremony finishes.
Drinks, confetti and guest moments
After the ceremony, guests usually move straight outside for drinks or gather nearby indoors. This part of the day is full of natural moments. Hugs, laughter and conversations all happen without needing direction.
Confetti works best just outside the ceremony area or near the terrace. I keep this simple and quick so guests can head straight back to their drinks.
Group photos and couple portraits
Group photos are planned in advance and kept efficient. Elmers Court has plenty of space, so we donโt need to walk far or hold guests back for long.
Couple portraits are short and relaxed. We use the gardens, terrace and coastal views while the light is right, then head straight back to the celebrations. The aim is always to keep you present with your guests.
Wedding breakfast and speeches
The Ballroom works well for the wedding breakfast and speeches. It has enough space for movement, reactions and atmosphere without feeling overwhelming. Speeches are one of my favourite parts of the day, and I focus on capturing both the speakers and the reactions around the room.
Evening celebrations
As the evening begins, the atmosphere shifts. The lights come down, the music starts and the day becomes more energetic. I stay close to the action, photographing the first dance, the dance floor and the moments in between.
If the weather and timing allow, stepping outside briefly later in the evening can create a relaxed night time portrait before the party continues.

Elmers Court Venue Guide
Where can you get ready?
Elmers Court offers on site accommodation, including hotel rooms and self catering apartments, which makes the morning calm and unrushed. Most couples get ready in rooms close to the manor house, keeping everything within easy reach.
The rooms give you enough space for final preparations, details and natural moments with your wedding party. Having everyone on site also means less travel and fewer delays before the ceremony.
What are the ceremony options?
Elmers Court is licensed for both indoor and outdoor civil ceremonies.
Indoor ceremonies usually take place within the manor house, offering a warm and elegant setting that works well year round. For outdoor ceremonies, the lawns and veranda provide a relaxed option with views across the grounds and towards the Solent, weather permitting.
Both options keep guests close together, which helps the day flow smoothly once the ceremony ends.
What are the reception options?
The Ballroom is the main space for wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations. It has enough room for speeches, dining and dancing without feeling crowded.
Drinks receptions often take place on the terrace or nearby lawns, allowing guests to move naturally between inside and outside spaces. This works well for candid photography and relaxed guest moments.
How many guests can attend?
Elmers Court can accommodate around 100 guests for a seated wedding breakfast, with space for up to approximately 180 guests for the evening celebration, depending on the room layout.
This flexibility suits both intimate weddings and larger gatherings.
What overnight accommodation is available?
Accommodation is available on site, including hotel rooms, apartments and cottages. This allows guests to stay overnight and makes Elmers Court a popular choice for weddings that turn into a full weekend celebration.
