East Horton Golf Club Wedding Photographer
Bryony and James were married on a bright October day at East Horton Golf Club, set in the Hampshire countryside just outside Eastleigh. Despite being well into autumn, the weather held on, warm, clear, and calm, which gave the whole day an easy feel from the start. From the morning preparations through to the final moments on the dance floor, everything moved at a steady pace, shaped by laughter, energy, and a strong sense of togetherness among their guests.

Morning Preparations
The day began with preparations at the Marwell Hotel, where Bryony and James got ready separately, surrounded by friends and family. The atmosphere was relaxed but full of anticipation. There was plenty of laughter, music in the background, and the kind of excitement that builds quietly before things really get going. Nothing felt rushed. People drifted in and out, helping where needed and enjoying the moment before heading over to the venue.
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place at East Horton, with guests seated closely together, creating an intimate setting despite the larger group. Bryony and James shared a confident, joyful ceremony, with reactions from the people around them playing just as big a part as the vows themselves. Smiles, quiet tears, and shared looks between family members gave the ceremony its emotional core, without ever tipping into anything over-staged.
Confetti And Group Photos
After the ceremony, guests gathered outside for confetti. What followed was one of the liveliest moments of the day. Rather than walking calmly through, Bryony and James ran together through an arch formed by their guests, laughing their way through the confetti as it fell around them. It set the tone for the rest of the afternoon and summed them up perfectly.
Group photos followed soon after. These were kept light and efficient, making use of the open space around the venue. Guests were happy to get involved, and everything moved smoothly without pulling people away for too long.
Couple Portraits Around The Course
One of the advantages of East Horton Golf Club is the sheer amount of space. With two full courses and open views in every direction, we were able to step away briefly for portraits without leaving guests waiting. Bryony and James were completely at ease together, which made the portraits feel natural rather than posed. As the afternoon moved into evening, the light softened and the setting really came into its own.
Reception And Speeches
The reception carried the same relaxed energy as the rest of the day. Guests settled in easily, food was served, and conversation flowed across the room. The speeches were a real highlight. They were funny, warm, and personal, with plenty of laughter but also moments that showed just how close everyone is. The reactions from the room said everything.
Sunset And Evening Celebrations
As the sun began to drop, we stepped outside again for a final set of portraits. The sunset over the course was one of those moments you can’t plan, soft light, open skies, and just enough calm to pause before the evening kicked off properly. It was a short window, but it gave Bryony and James a moment together before heading back inside.
The evening party picked up quickly. The dance floor filled early and stayed busy, with guests fully committed from the first track. It was energetic, joyful, and exactly the kind of ending that suited the day.
Final Reflection
Bryony and James’ wedding at East Horton Golf Club was full of movement, laughter, and genuine connection. From the relaxed start to the sunset portraits and packed dance floor, the day never lost its sense of fun. For couples planning a wedding in Hampshire and wanting photography that reflects how the day actually feels, rather than how it’s meant to look, I’d love to hear from you.
