Becky and Oliver wedding at Denbies Wine Estate

One of the best things about shooting wedding photography in Surrey is returning to be a Denbies Wine Estate wedding photographer.  Becky and Oliver chose the perfect venue for their summer wedding in Surrey. 

On the day, I caught up with Becky early so I could capture those all-important bridal prep images.  Becky was in great form and had her lovely fun bridesmaids on hand to help her get ready.  Becky looked amazing in a stunning Ronald Joyce satin a line dress that beautifully fanned out to give her an exceptional silhouette in all of my images.   Becky’s bouquet was beautiful and along with all the other flowers o the day, was the clever creation of her mum and aunt. 

I must mention the bridesmaids.  The burnt orange halter neck style dresses with subtle layers looked amazing and were a refreshing break from the traditional.

The wedding ceremony was held at St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Dorking.   A handsome church with light and ornate interiors that made it perfect for a traditional wedding ceremony.  The ceremony included musical accompaniment by a string quartet.

After the ceremony there was a fantastic confetti moment outside the church that I captured perfectly.  Here, take a look! 

Becky, Oliver and their guests then made their way to Denbies Wine Estate for the reception.  Set in the heart of the Surrey Hills, an area known for its outstanding natural beauty, sits award winning Denbies Wine Estate.  One of the largest wine producers in the UK it competes on an international level.  There are so many reasons why I love shooting wedding photography at Denbies Wine Estate but I think the main one is that the vineyards and the Surrey Hills are so utterly photogenic. 

On arrival everybody enjoyed an elegant drinks and canapes reception and I took the chance to capture some great group images of Becky and Oliver’s guests with the vineyards in the backdrop.  As well as some really fun images of Becky and Oliver with their wedding party.

Whilst guests happily chatted and mingled, I whisked Becky and Oliver away for a few minutes for a short walk around the vineyard to capture some romantic portrait images of them around the stunning vineyards and gardens.  I got some beautiful images.  Here, take a look!

Storytelling wedding photography at Denbies Wine Estate

The wedding reception was held in Denbies conservatory atrium and Becky and Oliver were greeted rapturously by their guests.  This large and light space was ideal for a wedding celebration allowing me to move unobtrusively around it capturing all the special moments. 

Now, as an experienced Surrey wedding photographer I’ve sat through a lot of wedding speeches so believe me when I say the speeches at Becky and Oliver’s wedding were good.  Heart warming and entertaining, they really set the tone for a fun and joyous celebration. 

As the sunset, I quickly whisked Becky and Oliver outside to capture a romantic image of them in silhouette on top of a hill with a blue background. It was well worth taking a few minutes to do it because as you can see it produced the best image of the day.  Here, take a look!

Creative and Natural Denbies Wine Estate wedding photography

Now, I always love little touches at weddings as it tells me something of my couples personalities.  At Becky and Oliver’s weddings I loved the hilarious video presentation on the dance floor from siblings and family abroad who couldn’t make it.  It made the best start to the evening celebrations and was followed by the cutting of the most delicious looking wedding cake and a romantic first dance by Becky and Oliver.

They weren’t alone for long as these guys had booked an excellent wedding band and Becky and Oliver’s guests were really up for a party.  And it was the image of everybody dancing the night away that seemed the perfect one to close the story of Becky and Oliver’s beautiful day. 

A joyous wedding full of love and laughter.  Congratulations to Becky and Oliver for getting married and creating such an amazing day.  And thank you for allowing me to tell the story of it.  I loved it!
