A Military Wedding Photographer in Sussex- Arundel Town Hall & Look and Sea Centre
Sussex Military Wedding Photographer
Krystal & James, Arundel Town Hall and the Look and Sea Centre
What a brilliant and fun day it was to to photograph Krystal and James's wedding day! These two are a fantastic couple and are a perfect match for each other!
I started the day capturing the Bridal preparations at the Hilton Avisford Park a short drive from Arundel town centre. Krystal was busy having her hair styled by her hair stylist Dean when I arrived so I began by photographing all the little details first before capturing the fun and laughter of everyone getting ready.
Then it was time for Krystal to put her dress on and as soon as she stepped out everyone gasped with how stunning she looked! A few shots taken of Mum, the maid of honour and Krystal's daughter Sienna helping to do the dress up followed by a striking window shot of Krystal in her wedding dress.
Then it was time for me to race down to Arundel Town Hall to get a few photos of James and his groomsmen prior to the ceremony. Arundel Town Hall is a beautiful Grade 2 listed Victorian building right in the heart of Arundel town centre and is fantastic venue for civil marriages!
James was dressed in his full No 1 military dress uniform along with Greg his best man and John his usher also dressed in his No 2 military dress uniform. They all looked really smart and we captured some great shots of them all on the roof of Arundel Town Hall with Arundel and the surrounding countryside as a beautiful backdrop.
Krystal arrived shortly afterwards in a lovely Jaguar looking quite nervous but with a big smile ready for the big moment.
The ceremony was held upstairs in the upper chamber which is beautifully lit with windows on all sides and backs out on a terrace with views looking out to the sea! Having this kind of light in a ceremony is a photographer's dream so it allowed me to capture some fantastic photos throughout of Krystal and James and some great candid photos of their family and friends. The couple were fortunate to have a great guitarist playing for them which made the ceremony that more intimate!
After the I do's and the first kiss it was onto a champagne celebration on the balcony, lots of candid moments captured before a big group shot.
With the guests on their way to the reception, I got the chance to photograph Krystal and James down by the River Arun and Arundel Castle. I have visited Arundel on a number of occasions and it truly is a breathtaking place and being able to capture the newly married portraits here was a treat.
On to the reception being held at the Look and Sea Centre where the guests were awaiting the arrival of the happy couple. The Look and sea centre is situated on at Littlehampton harbour and is a fantastic venue with brilliant sea views. More drinks followed up on the balcony before the start of the speeches. James's best man Greg gave a very heart warming and funny speech about his friendship with James and certainly one I will remember for a long time!
After food it was time for Krystal and James's first dance which was a wonderful end to my time spent capturing their day.
Enjoy this selection from their day!
