Jade and Nick’s Wedding at Kingswood Golf Course

Jade and Nick were recommended to me by Nick’s sister Laura from Lauvia Hair who I first met at a wedding last year. I was also joined by the talented Paul Burton from Burton Media who assisted me with second shooting along with producing a fantastic short highlight video of their day. Jade and Nick chose the wonderful Kingswood Golf Club as their wedding venue which has some wonderful views across it which is perfect for wedding photos.

Bridal Prep

Jade was getting ready at the attached hotel and I started by capturing some candid photos of Jade and her bridal party getting ready. The Prosecco was flowing which always helps relax everyone and I got lots of natural smiling and laughter. After capturing Jade in her dress I joined Paul downstairs who had captured some fantastic photos of the Groom and his Groomsmen arriving and together we captured photos of guests arriving prior to the ceremony.

The Ceremony and Reception

Jade was walked down the aisle by her Mum and a wonderful ceremony full of emotion and laughter followed. Following the ceremony, the guests congratulated the newlyweds and I captured a few group photos indoors as the weather outside was pretty wet. I always tell couples that rain on a wedding day never spoils play and I will always be able to capture some amazing photos however the British weather is! Onto the speeches which were full of laughter and tears before I got the newly married couple outside for a few couples portraits. The Groom and his Groomsmen were being brave and were happy to head out onto the local paths by the course so this was a perfect opportunity to get some shots of them together before the rain came again. Whilst doing a quick recce of the venue in the morning I spotted they had a fantastic snooker table and saw this was a perfect opportunity to capture a shot I had imagined of the groom playing with his groomsmen and the resulting photo was better than I had imagined.

The Party

Onto the evening celebrations where Jade and Nick had a beautiful first dance together surrounded by their friends and family before everyone jumped on the dance floor. For the last shot of the night I setup a twilight photo of the bride and groom using some creative flash and some fairy lights to give Jade and Nick a wonderful unique photo-this is something I love creating for every couple and I like to try something new each time!
