Asha and Kishan Proposal Shoot at Hampton Court Palace

Wow, this shoot was so much fun. Kishan called me a few weeks before and was looking for a photographer to capture a surprise proposal he was planning with his girlfriend Asha at the stunning Hampton Court Palace. I had been wishing to shoot a proposal shoot for some time so I was really excited for the day to come round! The plan was for me to be in position at the centre of Hampton Court Maze to await their arrival. Once they arrived outside, Sophie the events planner for the palace met them both and explained they were running a competition to see which couple could get into the centre the fastest on that day.

Shortly after they both started Kishan managed to get himself separated from Asha where Sophie then took him through a secret entrance to the middle to await Asha finding the centre. After 5 mins of Asha getting quite frustrated, she eventually found the centre to find Kishan, with me setup in the sidelines snapping away! After a few romantic words Kishan got down on one knee and proposed and with the obvious YES after there was lots of smiles and laughs.

I finally got the chance to chat with the lovely couple and give them my congratulations and then after a few photos in the centre of the maze we got the chance to shoot some portraits around the Palaces public gardens which are a phenomenal backdrop for photos. We then made our way to the river for some photos just as the sun was coming down and also managed to get some lovely candid photos of the newly engaged couple enjoying some time together walking along the riverside.
